Our Mission:
Summit Theatre Spotlight is a group of parents dedicated to the advancement of the Summit High School theatre department. We work in partnership with teachers, administrators, and the community to support our students as they participate in as many enriching, educational and inspirational theatrical experiences as possible.

Summit Theatre Spotlight is a group of parents dedicated to the advancement of the Summit High School theatre department. We work in partnership with teachers, administrators, and the community to support our students as they participate in as many enriching, educational and inspirational theatrical experiences as possible.
What we're doing:
- Raising funds and providing financial services for all theatre related programs at Summit High School
- Enabling strong relationships between home, school, parents and the theatre director(s) including volunteer coordination and online communications
- Raising public awareness about the Summit Theatre Program through publicity and marketing
- Providing theatre student scholarships to increase inclusiveness
Summit Theatre Spotlight has supported the Summit High School Theatre Department through the help of Donations, Grants, Torch Song Ticket Sales, Student Paid Shakespeare Festival Fees, Slideshow and Program Ad Sales, Workshop Fees, Flower Sales, Student Swag Sales, and Concessions.
From July 2024 through June 2026, STS has provided funds to help with the following:
- Lighting Equipment including 2 Follow Spots
- Sound Equipment
- Set Building Supplies and Rentals for 6 Shows
- Scene Shop Tools & Equipment
- Costumes Supplies and Rentals for 6 Shows
- Props Supplies and Rentals for 6 Shows
- Advanced Theatre Student Performance Opportunities at Torch Song Cabaret Dinner
- 2025 Oregon Thespian Regionals Competition Entrance Fees for all participating students
- 2025 Oregon Thespian State Festival Competition Entrance Fees for all participating students
- Need Based Scholarships for 2026 Oregon Shakespeare Festival Field Trip
- Student & Cast Meals (Tech Week, Leadership Retreat, Regionals)
- Consultants & Workshops
- Theatre Classroom Supplies
- Student Recognition (Flowers, Backstage Notes, Headshots)
- Concessions at Shows
- Show Advertising

*This list is in addition to the resources and supplies generated from Show Ticket Sales through BLPSD. The money from Show Ticket Sales is used to fund the Theatre program which includes but is not limited to Show Rights, Classroom Supplies, Student Field Trips, and Auditorium Maintenance.
